Jay,

the answer is B is the funny word there really is "supports".

C is the the predecessor to Rman - and it only works in Oracle version 7.

A and D are just plain false.

I'm taking a 8i Backup & Recovery Practice test and believe the answer key might be off.

Question

Which statement regarding Recovery Manager with a database operating in NOARCHIVELOG mode is true?

1. Recovery Manager requires a recovery catelog
2. Recovery Manager syooirts multi-level incremental backups
3. Recovery Manager is compatible with Enterpise Backup utility
4. Recovery Manager only works in conjunction with a tap subsystem

Anwser key says that D is the correct answer.

I would say that C is the correct answer since only a full offline backup can be performed.
