RE: Named Pipes Protocol Adapter

I remember asking on the Metalink SQL*Net forum a couple of years ago why one would use Named Pipes vs. TCP/IP. The Oracle support person on Metalink answered "Hardly anybody uses Named Pipes. You should use TCP/IP."
