To find out the used space in the tablespaces wouldn't the following work ?:
select tablespace_name, sum(bytes) from dba_extents group by
tablespace_name ;
select tablespace_name, sum(bytes) from dba_segments group by tablespace_name;

hard drive to extend. You hope its planned right, but you dont know. So I
assume they mean take MAXBYTES - BYTES, though this is probably wrong.
