This is becoming quite a problem.
ActiveState support for modules is on the wane. I've had trouble
installing
several modules in 5.6 and 5.8.
They do not have one for 5.8.
There is no DBD::Oracle available anywhere that I'm aware of that will work with Perl 5.8 on Windoze.
Try the DBI-users list at lists.perl.org.

My windows XP PC got trashed and had to be rebuilt. Reinstalled perl and now looking for dbd-oracle package. I do NOT have a C compiler. It used to be at http://www.xmlproj.com/PPM/ but that now appears to be an invalid url.
