Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: import...dead or alive?
You should keep it by the hand end check whether it has a pulse.
An alternative would be checking V$SESSION_WAIT to see what the session
waiting for and V$SESSTAT

How can I find out if an import is dead or alive? I have an import of 1.6M+ rows that's been running for over 45 minutes.
Oracle 8.1.7.0.0
AIX 4.3.3
What can I check?
Thanks,
Saira
