I am out of office until 5/5. I am not reacheable by pager. I will be
checking my voice mail and e-mail at least daily.

Thanks for your detailed information. Could you please tell me why MCSE
is
better than Solaris/Linux admin?
Thanks

MCSE is slightly better than worthless. Solaris is a higher end skillset
that Linux. I have noticed a few jobs which are DBA/Unix Admin. These
are
generally smaller projects where they want you to wear multiple hats.
If you want to do one of your choices do the Solaris certification.
However, make it clear to an employer that your expertise is DBA, and
that
you learned Solaris in order to make you a better DBA. If not they will
think you are mediocre at both. Ive noticed that Unix info is about as
endless as Oracle info. So its impossible to be truly specialized in
both.
one point, if your not already experience in Oracle, these
certifications
dont help at all. They really only help experienced people go over the
top.
