If you need to ask, the answer is windoze. Unix is much friendlier then Windoze, it only
picks who his friends are. For those of us who have mastered the tao, there is no need
to even ask.

Are you equally familiar with both? I'd take ten years of windows experience over 6 months of *nix anytime, even given the well documented superiority of the latter.

Hi all,

we have bought the hardware already so it has been decided but where we are able to influence is the OS

should I start using Linux or W2K when

I will have three instances with total size upto 200Gig used as DW with max 20-30 users altogether.

The hardware is Compaq DL380 G3 2x2.8GHz ...

Any ideas, or is there any good links I could read some benchmarks etc...

Joshua
