in the ones where you have a multitude of choices, read the papers (as an attendee, you should have gotten an email on how to get them). Choose the one where the author makes most sense.

in the ones where there is not much, plan on visiting the exhibit hall

oh yeah, you can skip mine, I never say anything good :)
