Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: DISABLE_OOB = ON
I used it once with no noticeable effect. I understood it to be a desperation recommendation from OWS who couldn't help much in troubleshooting a persistant ORA-03113 SQL*Net problem. My particular problem just turned out to be a bad NIC and Linux driver. SQL*Net tracing can be painful.

Anybody using this sqlnet parameter setting? I can't find a good description. Some oracle analyst thinks it will solve all my remote query woes or at least get rid of me for a week or so. He says both dbs have to be bounced to set it. I find that hard to believe, but don't know how to query the setting.
Gotta love the double negitive.
