Chris,

I believe if you look on MetaLink that 9i only comes in a 64 bit flavor. If the vendor is looking for 32 bit libraries, then I'd believe he's using 8.1.7. In which case you need to install the 8.1.7 32 bit libraries in a separate Oracle_home. We've done that for People Soft.

We've got a curious situation.

Sharing a 64-bit 9i database, on Sun This is prototyping, early phase of a project ..
Running vendor-supplied executables compiled for 32-bit. Is there a way to get 32-bit executables to work ? Are they fundamentally incompatible? e.g. change LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to 32-bit libraries?
