Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Direct SGA Access
Well, if you mean that we have an "intimate relationship with Oracle" -
meaning that we get advance copies of software and Oracle says "you can do
anything you want with the database" - that's not true as far as I know.
If you mean that Oracle has mapped out the SGA for Quest, or given us
permission to attach to the SGA - I have no idea but I would bet against it.
Keep in mind I am a small fish in the big Quest pond and with what I don't know about Quest's relationship with Oracle you could write two or three steamy romance novels. There are probably people on this list who don't / no longer work for Quest that know more about it than I do.
If I did have some knowledge about how Oracle likes Quest above all other software vendors, I probably wouldn't be allowed to say it on this list anyway.
On the other hand, being from Switzerland, I can answer all your questions about Gruyere cheese, and I am willing to contradict Cary on anything to do with fondue.
-----Original Message-----
Anyone from Quest on the mailing list care to contradict Cary??
