RE: Ora - 03113 - End of file on communication channel while runn

Careful here ... we had intermittent success on a variety of changes to the system only to find out a few days later that the problem reared its ugly head once again. Instance shutdowns on the application and database servers, LIBRARY_PATH changes, etc. In the end only the relink was proven successful.

Hi List,

        The problem got resolved when I changed the default value for a common column in all the tables from "SYSTIMESTAMP" to "SYSDATE". Seems to be a bug in 9.0.1. Thanks for all the help in this regard.
