Hey Ron,
Is the variable ORACLE_SID set inside the script? I'd add that, if
not.
Also, what works for me when using an asterisk in a find command is to
double quote the target name...
find . -name "${ORACLE_SID}_exp_full*.log" -mtime + 1 -exec ls {} \;
This command works on HP, let me know if this doesn't fix it.

I am trying to format a find command to delete files older than n
days.
The command is in a script and incorporates the ORACLE_SID variable.
I can't get the command to work with the first part of the file name as
a
variable.
It works fine if I hard code it. Any ideas?
Example: find . -name ${ORACLE_SID}_exp_full*.log -mtime +1 -exec ls {} \;
Thanks!
Ron
