Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> temp file does not exist
I just did an alter database rename file on the new server (oracle9i -
just starting to user it)
and I encountered a 'datafile, logfile or tempfile does not exist' error
or something like that for my datafile for the temp tablespace. funny
thing is dictionary shows that there indeed is a TEMP tablespace with no
datafiles.
hmmm. how did that happen? i have this temp tablespace defined ok on the
original server.
I could add the datafile to temp but I can't understand why my
controlfile doesn't have a listing for my temp datafile.
