Sometimes To utilize the multiple cpu I break the jobs up
and run them in the background as separate jobs...
ie. like export...I call it the poor mans parallel.

You likely have one very CPU intensive process. A single process can't be split between CPU's.
I believe that 'glance' is the utility to use on HP to show you which process(es) are eating up the CPU.

why on my hp-ux box ( with 2 cpu ) , I always see one cpu idle while other
is being used at 90% .
Any Idea ?
