A shutdown abort is always a good start. I had a collegue (spelling?) in Support, who put redo logs on a diskette and then removed the diskette from the drive. That worked, too.

And I've had crazy Greenlanders deleting from the dictionary until the whole thing finally came down hard.

Good tables to delete from would include those mentioned at the top of sql.bsq . Jared's idea with FET$ is good. So is OBJ$, I think :).
