RE: Service startup on Windows 2000 fails

Thanks, I might have to go there. We had a Win2K box today with SYSTEM using 100% of the CPU. I tracked the problem to a single system thread (using Performance monitor Programs>Administrative Tools>Performance), but I have no idea how to tell what that thread is doing. Maybe I'll give sysinternals a try. (our sysadm wants to reapply an already applied service pack and reboot. Don't know if I'll get to more digging before that, but I'm sure the problem will resurface again later:)
