installing oracle 8i on Solaris 9

I've been trying to *prepare* my sol box to install Oracle.......

The freakin' install guide is 202 pages long...Is there an easier method to install oracle than reading 200+ pages? Anyone know any good tutorials or websites where I can get some newbie info on installing oracle?
