You might try playing around with the DBMS_SUPPORT package which is loaded with the dbmssupp.sql script in the rdbms/admin directory.
dbms_support.start_trace_in_session(SID, SERIAL#, waits=>false, binds=>true)
dbms_support.stop_trace_in_session(SID, SERIAL#).
