Hi Jared,
I think a letter to the Redwood Shores police department alleging IP theft and asking them to investigate may be effective.
I believe copyright in it's current business model is dead but since everyone's reputation is based on their copyrights you can not allow this theft to continue.
If you do you are doing a disservice to everyone.
