Jos,
Per the comment made by an instructor at a recent Oracle 9i class. Having the ability to use multiple block sizes in the database is primarily there for transportable tablespaces which may not be the same size.

Oracle 9i supported multiple block sizes, I am wondering under what circumstances one would setup a database with multiple block sizes?
