Raj,
I had seen Note 97926.1. Unfortunately, error 25408 is not itself
mentioned. The example error is there is error 25401.
My developer has had to try to code to capture different errors and she
was stumped by error 25408. A search of
Metalink for error 25408 did not reveal much [although I can't open DocID
31684.999]
Searching MetaLink for Note 97926.1 does show 178973.1 where error 25408
is indicated as a symptom and
which refers back to 97926.1 But searching Metalink for error 25408
did not reveal 178973.1 !
The context search on MetaLink han't satisifed me much.

fact: Transparent Application Failover (TAF)
symptom: Application fails
symptom: ORA-25408: can not safely replay call
cause: This is one of the session state related errors you can get with Transparent Application Failover. Metalink <Note:97926.1> Failover Issues and Limitations [Connect-time failover and TAF] is an excellent article discussing Transparent application failover. Refer to 5.1.3 TAF - SESSION state after failing over for restrictions related to session state.
fix: Handle this error in your application
Have you checked this ??
