Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Unix for oracle dba -- Suggest a book ?
A second book you will find very helpful is from Sun... Configuration and
Capacity Planning for Solaris Servers. Also, my Unix bookshelf has the
following references..
The New Kornshell - Bolsky & Korn
PERL in a Nutshell - Siever
sed & awk - Dougherty
UNIX Programming Tools - Johnson
UNIX Unleashed (an excellent general reference)
One other very valuable reference source is man on the UNIX servers. For finger tip reference I dump the man pages for sar, iostat, vmstat, glance (if you're on HP) plus the vi man pages.
