Oracle produced some .NET items, mostly connectivity-related.

It sounds like there's a considerable amount of confusion about this from
some of the responses to this question so far. There are lots of .Nets
currently in the Microsoft world. There's Visual Studio .Net which is a
development environment. There's the .Net CLR which is a runtime
environment for a variety of OS's (primarily Microsoft's) and then there's
the upcoming Windows .Net Server 2003 which is the successor to Windows 2000
Server. I assume from your description that you are talking about Windows
.Net Server 2003 which is currently in Release Candidate 2 status. If this
is what you are talking about then it is most definitely an operating system
and has nothing to do with OAS. I wouldn't expect any .Net Server
compatibility from Oracle until the OS is actually released by Microsoft
(currently scheduled for April 2003).

List:
I have a developer trying to install Oracle9i Application Server Release 2
(9.0.3) on a .net server. He's using the install disk for Windows NT and
2000. Needless to say, it gives him an error and throws up.
He considers .net just another operating system like np or 2000. I think of it more like a competitor for OAS. At any rate, I can't find any mention of .net on either Metalink or OTN (except how much better OAS is than .net)
Does anyone know if Oracle has an application server installation for .net? If so, do you know how I might get it? Is this a silly question? Should I be hanging my head in shame??
Thanks in advance for any information.
