Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: password
Its not an update of dba_users.
Its an Alter user identified by values "OldPassword", which is also what an

Yes that's rite I cant use D4C5016086B2DC6A as the password
But...
I can
SQL> alter user bob identified by newpassword ;
Log on as bob and make any changes I want then...
SQL> Update dba_users set password = 'D4C5016086B2DC6A' where user = bob ;
Bob doen not know his account has been modified
I know that's not what he asked but... I havent threw in my 2cts in a
while ;->
And this could prove useful from time to time....
