ora-2083,ora-1256 Urgent

Hi All,

I have a down production system on Win NT4,Oracle 8.1.6. I just started getting ora-2083 database name has illegal character '-'. When I try to connect via svrmgrl after setting oracle_sid I get tns-12560 tns protocol adapter error.

The other 2 instances work fine. Nothing on MetaLink has been helpful thusfar.

Any ideas on how to resolve.
