Guys,
I recently as a consultant had to take it on the chin when I couldn't get a
sys. admin. to do his diagnostics or believe it was actually a hardware
failure and after (of course) unsuccessfully restoring/recovering and then
finally recovering the database when the hardware failure was diagnosed
(after I insisted on them bringing in a SUn technician and begging the sys.
admin to come in and verify the hardware for a few days) and they found
mirroring problems..... Very frustrating.... In any case, I just took the
backup/recovery self-exam for the first time after reading the Cor. book -
except last couple of chapters and got 87% - 8 answers wrong. Can't help
feeling a little vindacted and frustrated all at the same time. I might
have to consider the Sun Solaris exams but don't really wish to....geez....
