By the way, how many folks have watched "Prime Minister's Questions" in the British House of Commons? In the US, it sometimes shows on C-SPAN or C-SPAN2, late at night. I swear, it is more entertaining and funnier than 90% of the other stuff shown on the ol' glass teat, especially when a row develops...
Anyway, as you might guess, the British Prime Minister (Maggie Thatcher was my favorite -- the quality of star players has declined since) would be asked questions and he/she answers them -- simple. Usually, current events would drive the questions, so the PM would usually respond to a question once and then, as more and more MPs stand up and repeat the same question -- the PM would simply respond, "I refer my honorable colleague to the comments I made some moments ago". Over and over and over again; like a formula. Saves time, wear, and tear...
Just say: "I refer my [ learned | esteemed | honorable ] colleague to the comments I made several threads ago"...
