The 9.2 DBA Studio has a nice little progress bar for long-running operations-- presumably based on queries against the tables other folks have mentioned. Go to the list of sessions, open a particular session, and go to the "long operations" tab. Obviously, this is more useful if you want to watch the progress of a query than if you want to do some serious reporting.
