On Tru64 Unix there is a tool called SYS_CHECK which you run
which will analyze your system and make recomendations
on tuning parameters. You may have to install it from
the installation CD if not already installed.

Hi!!
I'm trying to see if a unix machine is having
performance problem with any resources: cpu, disk and
memory.
When I started analyzing the memory statistics, taken
previously with vmstat I realized that it's columns
are completely different from any other unix I've
worked before (solaris, aix, hpux). For example it
does not have the column SR (scan rate).
What do you check in a Tru64 to evaluate memory usage? how can I read these vmstats output?
Virtual Memory Statistics: (pagesize = 8192)
procs memory pages intr cpu
I'd appreciate any help
thanks in advance
Pablo.
