Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: SNP acronym?
SNP acronym?Snapshot.
Back when replication snapshots were first introduced in v7.0, these processes were used for automatic refresh. Later, when the DBMS_JOB package was introduced (i.e. v7.1.x?), these processes were used by that package, and have since become more closely associated with DBMS_JOB. By rights, they should be called "JOB" processes, but who said things had to make sense...
What does the background job queue acronym SNP stand for ?
