Yes, the process parameter will be increased to the value you changed.  

The Init.ora, parameter file, is used anytime you start your DB.  

Probably you should check the parameters for the SGA.

Hi! DBAs,  

If I modify the "Process" in init.ora after database was created and running for quite a long while,
is it true that the maximum of the process will increase as what i changed?
do i need to change anything?  

init.ora will be used everytime the database start, right? or just for the initialization for db creation?
