Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> v$temp_space_header and v$temp_extent_pool
Hello,
it is acknowledged that v$temp_space_header.blocks_free mean ONLY that the blocks have 'never ever been used'
Can someone confirm if
v$temp_extent_pool.blocks_cached
is the 'real number of blocks available for sorting'?
How do we confirm this?
Observations
v$temp_space_header.blocks_used +
v$temp_space_header.blocks_free = v$tempfile.blocks
However,
v$temp_extent_pool.blocks_cached !=
v$temp_space_header.blocks_used
Waiting for your responses on this
