I just installed Oracle 9i release 2 on redhat advanced server 2.1.Now i have some questions, and want to share my painful experience: I created the database manually ,my experience: 1. in the second node, the following dir is not created as some other guys said: $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/audit, $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/log, $ORACLE_HOME/network/log, $ORACLE_HOME/oracm/log. I mannually created it before any maybe error appeared.2. I did not hit any error during installation.I did not choose any other option i do not need, like advanced security, spatial etc. 3.
