Position: DBA Manager
Location: Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Salary Range: 80K to low 90s plus bonus of up to 12%

This is a full time staff position so no sub-contractors or third parties please.

Description:
Management and delivery of database design, performance and monitoring of
Oracle, DB2,
Informix, IDMS, and SQL server databases, gateways, database tools and
services.
Provides expert advice and direction in Database technologies and
disciplines which includes
Database Administration, Database design and development for transactional,
reporting,
and warehouse system solutions.
Establishment and implementation of technical database technology strategic
direction,
standards, and procedures that will optimize database architectures,
reliability, and
performance for all customers.
Ability to provide technical direction and management for 10 DBAs.
Provide coaching, set expectations, and manage performance for the DBA team.
Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent.
-Work experience 7+ years DBA experience
-7+ years of application and information systems support with at least 8 years
directing database projects or organizations in a diverse complex computing
environment.
-Excellent resource planning skills and people management in a shared
services environment.
-Good negotiation skills and ability to effectively resolve conflicting
priorities from
multiple customers.
-Strong knowledge of all complex database management system technologies,
tools,
and methodologies and their applicability to solving business problems that
results in
information accessibility to company's business partners and application
development.
-Strong decision making skills, take charge personality, ability to see the
big picture
and determine problem resolutions.
