Hey Jonathan,
I remember getting a call a long time ago. I basically told them I was a DBA and just wanted to mess around and learn the new features, etc. of Oracle. I guess they "tagged" me as such and have never called since. On the other hand, I guess if you said it was for project X, then they would be calling back...

Last week I downloaded Oracle9i for Linux from Technet. Today I just got a call from an Oracle salesperson wanting to know what I was doing with it. I suppose it's not unreasonable for them to call and ask what I'm doing with their software, but is it normal procedure? I can't remember whether this happened last time I did a Technet download.
Jonathan
