Pl check the execute permission on the script. I remember I had the same
error message with my bash shell.

Comes from #!/bin/sh on the first line. You must run some kind of extraterrestrial Unix where sh is not located under /bin (perhaps /usr/bin ?). You can insert a line with : _before_ the first one (and nothing else than : in first column) but if I were you I would simply create a symbolic link to the true location of sh under /bin.
