Or if on Oracle 816 or above and you have a SQL Server ODBC driver for your platform then you can use Oracle's free Heterogeneous Services.
There are some limitations though compared to the Gateway.
On Metalink take a look at
note 114820.1 helpful - "QUICK START GUIDE: WIN NT - Generic Connectivity using ODBC"
Also note 109730.1 - How to setup generic connectivity (Heterogeneous Services) for Windows NT
Also search for Heterogeneous Services in doco and Technet. eg - Take a look at http://technet.oracle.com/products/gateways
