Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RMAN / NFS error
I have been configuring RMAN to back up to disk on a Compaq Tru64, Oracle
8.1.6.
I have my script running successfully. Then the sys admin configures an NFS-mounted drive on the target system and asks me to write to it instead. When I do, I receive the message:
rMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============== RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-03007: retryable error occurred during execution of command: backupRMAN-07004: unhandled exception during command execution on channel d1 RMAN-10035: exception raised in RPC: ORA-19504: failed to create file "/rman/lpi
