Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Oracle 9.0.1.3 or 9.2.0?
We started with 9011 then had bunch of patches for the bugs we discovered
for Oracle, then we went to 9012 and some problems (like temp blobs leak,
xml parts crash, smon leak etc) still persisted. But the application is
holding itself better than first version. Due to world cup we have delayed
9013. I have 9.2 running on NT (no we are not allowed to even dream about
putting a prod server on NT), and AIX.
The other day one of the developer sent a email asking what are our plans for 9.2 deployment, and my Unix admin (who probably can double as DBA at times) goes "next decade, dude."
By looking at the problems we have on 9x release, we have asked for a solid 3 months full load test before we even want to consider 9.2 (and probably 15 patches) deployment.
