When you connect to database using sqlplus you should see "64bit Production"
as part of banner. If not, then you are running 32-bit binaries even though
your OS may be 64-bit. And yes, Oracle is still maintaining 2 sets of
binaries (at least for Solaris). I just received 9iR2 today for Solaris and
there are still 2 sets of CD's (one for 32-bit and another set for 64-bit).
