BTW, looks like 8.1.7.4 has been released for most platforms. Just downloaded HP-UX and linux today.

Most of us on the list would probably recommend that you patch to 8.1.7.2.x, though you probably should check the patch readmes on MetaLink and check for RMAN bugs.

Good morning all,

They are finally going to let me install 8.1.7 and try it on my little database that hold my recovery catalog and OEM repository. I would like to
know if I will have to apply a patch before using it.

We are on AIX 4.3.3.
