I believe those check boxes are required by US export laws. Granted, it
won't stop someone from those countries from downloading the software, but
then I believe Oracle is not liable.
And yes...seemingly pointless...

Yeah, I just noticed that too. Gotta make sure you're not from Cuba, Sudan, Iraq, Libya, NKorea, or Syria. Then again, what's to stop someone from any of those places lying on the license. Seemingly pointless...
