Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: 8.1.7.3 - Good or Bad ~~ Upgrade 8.0.5 to 8.1.7.3
Can you give more specifics as to some of the options you're using?
64-bit?
CURSOR_SHARING=FORCE?
HPUX 11.0 or 11i?
The reason I ask is that there are some ORA-7445 bugs in 8.1.7.2 when using CURSOR_SHARING=FORCE that are supposed to be fixed in 8.1.7.3.
Also, is ANYONE using 8.1.7.3 on Solaris? Any problems? This is the first I've heard of downgrading from .3 to .2. Of course, it's as I'm prepping patching some Solaris8 boxes to .3 from .0. Figures.
TIA

I don't know what Kevin or anyone else is saying. But I upgraded from 8.0.6 to 8.1.7.3 (well first to the base version and then patched up) about 2 months ago and I haven't faced a single problem yet. (HP-UX).
