Well, I do not know UNIX but I wanted today to see what products are installed on one NT server which has: 8.1.6, 8.1.7, 9.0.1 and OEM all installed. I activated the oracle installer and got an error: You can not update the registry - Installed aborted (some thing like this:-)) ).
At least on Coffee ( NT - No Tea ) machine I need administrator privilege.
