Hi,
While testing 9i, I have come across a problem while testing to resize the
size of Shared Pool Size dynamically, As soon as I give command
ALTER SYSTEM SET SHARED_POOL_SIZE=<size in bytes>
The processor goes to 100% usage, and keeps on 100%, until I kill the
ORACLE.EXE process.
It happened a number of times, and I am still not able to resize Shared Pool
Size dynamically, though I have tested to resize the DB_BUFFER_CACHE (new
name of DB_BLOCK_BUFFERS) successfully,
Have any body else came across the same problem?
Its Oracle 9i Enterprise edition 9.0.1.1.1 on Windows 2000 Advance Server, SP 2.
