If you want it set for yourself, but not for
everyone, AND need it to take effect from
everywhere you run sqlplus,
create a login.sql file in some directory
under $HOME, and then set $SQLPATH to this directory.

login.sql and glogin.sql
glogin.sql will be global, from wherever you start your sqlplus session, login.sql is run from your current directory so if you have changed directories it won't be run
