Depends on your equipment. If you are dealing with something like
Symetrix, you would need to do a 3 for 1 replacement. (Master, Mirror,
BCV). And size could be an issue depending on your microcode level of
the equipment. We had to do a microcode update prior to going to the
180G drives.

I beg to differ.
Each disk cost the disk price + 1/24 of the infrastructure costs.
