Basically, from what I recall Reading in The Fine Manual, (also do a search on OPS and pinging):
In a nutshell,
If you have two nodes in your OPS setup, you should dedicated one to doing Selects, and the other to doing inserts, updates, and deletes.
Disclaimer -- I am not an OPS expert. ;-)
