>From the performance guide:
"Memory for the shared pool and buffer cache is allocated in units of granules. A granule can be 4 MB or 16 MB, depending on the total size of your SGA at the time of instance startup. If the size of your SGA is less than 128 MB, then the granules are 4 MB in size; otherwise, they are 16 MB."
